Every year an estimated 600,000 accidents are caused by drowsy drivers. None of these accidents would have happened had the driver recognized that they where drowsy and pulled over for a 15 minute nap. This website will help you understand some of the mysteries of sleep using the latest research findings coupled with our own first-hand experience with the problem. Our goal is to help you avoid making the same mistakes that we, and 600,000 other people did.

There are three main points that all drivers should understand about sleep. They are:

      * Sleep comes in waves
      * Sleep comes without warning
      * You cannot will yourself awake

Remembering these three points and learning to recognize the signs of drowsiness in yourself are key to keeping yourself safe.

Atigo, Inc. is a small research organization that has spend the past five years investigating ways technology can be used to prevent drowsy driving accidents. In the process, we discovered most people don't understand sleep, and this is contributing to 600,000 accidents and 8,000 deaths every year. We've created this website to help address this gap, but we need your help to keep it going. No corporations or government agencies support our work.
